SA Taxi opens AARTO Education and Information Centre

SA Taxi, in partnership with the Road Traffic Infringement Agency (RTIA) had a visit from government officials on 15 November 2019 at the newly opened Adjudication Administration of Road Traffic Offences (AARTO) outlet at the SA Taxi offices in Midrand. This is in an effort to bring AARTO services closer to the taxi industry that SA Taxi serves and its employees.

The outlet is meant to educate, inform and encourage compliance with road traffic laws. This programme was put in place as government’s contribution towards making South African roads safer and SA Taxi wants to ensure that the taxi industry is compliant to road traffic laws from our doorstep.

People can visit the AARTO service outlet to:

  • Make a representation to dispute a traffic violation,
  • Nominate a driver if you were not operating the vehicle at the time of violation,
  • Apply to revoke an enforcement order,
  • Arrange to pay for infringements in instalments, or
  • Elect to be tried in court.

SA Taxi calls upon taxi operators, drivers and SA Taxi employees to take advantage of these AARTO services available in order to avoid any inconvenience that might be caused by the blocking of the renewal of their driving documents.
